Buying guide and common questions
Gas or electric
Gas delivers rapid response and suits food trucks or kitchens with LPG. Electric is simpler to install indoors and gives tight temperature control. Check your available supply and ventilation.
Smooth or ribbed plate
Smooth plates suit eggs, pancakes, and fried rice. Ribbed plates add grill marks and help fat run off meats. Split plates cover both needs on one unit.
Plate thickness and recovery
Heavier plates hold heat and reduce temperature drop during rush periods. For high volume sites pick a thicker plate and higher wattage or BTU rating.
Grease management
Choose front troughs and large drawers for fast clean down. Plan a safe route to your waste oil store to meet hygiene rules.
Power and installation
Confirm single phase or three phase for electric units. Gas units need a certified installer, proper ventilation, and a gas interlock where required.
