Counting Scales
Counting scales help estimate quantities of uniform components by weighing a sample and then a larger batch. Useful for stocktakes, parts stores and packing tasks, these models should be compared by maximum capacity, weighing resolution, minimum piece weight and the specific counting functions clearly listed.

How parts counting works
Counting scales use a sample to establish an average piece weight, then estimate the number of matching items in a larger batch. Consistent component weights and an appropriate sample matter. Check the selected model's minimum piece-weight requirements, where published, especially for small fittings.
Choose capacity and resolution
Choose capacity for the total weight of container and contents, and a platform that fits your usual trays or boxes. Finer increments can help with lighter components, but resolution alone does not guarantee counting accuracy. Compare precision and pocket scales for small samples, or return to commercial weighing scales.
