  • Duties: chiller 0 to 5 C, freezer to minus 18 C or lower

How to size a CombiSteel cold room

Start with internal volume and daily load. Add headroom for frequent door openings and warm intake. Undersizing leads to long run times and ice build up.

Chiller vs freezer requirements

Freezers need heated door frames, drain heaters, and reliable defrost. Pick thicker panels and confirm vapour seals to prevent frost at joints.

Refrigeration choice

Monoblocks offer fast installs with minimal pipework. Remote systems move heat and noise out of the kitchen and suit larger rooms or hot plant rooms.

Ambient rating and HACCP
