Specific batches of SuperValu Seed Mix are being recalled after Salmonella was detected, according to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. The regulator issued food alert notification 2026.49 on 8 August 2026.
If your business holds SuperValu Seed Mix, check the batch details against the FSAI recall notice. The alert concerns specific batches, so the product name alone does not establish whether a pack is affected.
Retailers have been instructed to withdraw the affected batches from sale and display point-of-sale recall notices. Consumers are advised not to eat products from the implicated batches.
The FSAI says symptoms of Salmonella infection generally appear 12 to 36 hours after infection, although onset can range from six to 72 hours.
