Water tray
Before normal operation, fill the catching tray with approximately 4 cm of water.
Never fill cold water through the red-hot heating elements.
Documented cleaning cycle
After grilling, turn the control to position 3 for 20 minutes while the tray remains filled with approximately 4 cm of water.
The manual says the grill then becomes white-grey and the residue releases from the element.
Continue cleaning with a copper brush.
Never use a knife or steel brush on the element.
Tray and base
Turn the grill element away and leave it vertical to remove the tray.
The enamelled catching tray is suitable for a dishwasher.
Clean the stainless base plate with a wet cloth.
Never use a high-pressure jet to clean the appliance outside, and do not immerse it in water.
First use and safety
For first use, switch the grill to position 2 for 15 minutes without dishes on it.
Never touch the griddle while the appliance is working.
Never leave paper or textile on the heating elements.
Never open the appliance yourself.
